About Me

My name is Marianne and I am passionate about sewing! 

For 25 years, I have worked as a primary school teacher, I have 2 children and I live in Nantwich.

Learning to sew is something that I always wanted to do. 

However, as is often the way, work and family kept me so busy that, for many years, I never got round to actually doing it. 

Finally, in 2018, I stopped procrastinating and asked for a sewing machine for my birthday. 

Since then, I have been on a continuous journey of discovery, exploring the joy of making my own clothes and accessories for my home.

Once I started, I became obsessed with sewing and I immersed myself in project after project, following patterns and online tutorials. 

Fast forward 7 years and here I am, eager to share the joys of sewing and dressmaking with you. 

I don't want you to waste time wishing you could learn to sew, rather than spending that time actually learning to sew. 

I set up Sew Inspired to inspire you to sew. 

To give you the confidence to learn at your own pace in a relaxed home environment, fuelled by tea and biscuits, where there is always someone on hand to help if you get stuck or confused. 

Together, we will demystify the process of following a pattern, cutting out the fabric and putting everything together using a sewing machine and/or an overlocker. 

This will be the springboard to your own future obsession.

Opening the gateway to your own journey on a path to creating unique clothes and beautiful accessories for you, your home, your family or for gifts.
